Golden German Foxtail millet is used as a dual purpose millet that can be cut for hay or grain. The stem is not as course as that of White Wonder, nor is the plant as tall. Mature plants exhibit considerable purple in the leaf sheath and leaves. Heads may reach six inches in length and when mature are golden brown. The seeds are rounded and yellow in color.
